Former Vipers SC right-back Emmanuel Munoobi has completed a move to Lugazi FC, signing a two-year contract with the Uganda Premier League side.
The defender makes the switch to Lugazi as he looks to relaunch his career and secure regular playing time at the top level. His experience in the Uganda Premier League is expected to add strength and competition to Lugazi’s defensive department.
Munoobi previously featured for Vipers SC, where he announced himself in memorable fashion during his UPL debut in the 2021/22 season.
The right-back found the back of the net on his league debut as Vipers produced a commanding 7-2 victory over UPDF FC. It was an impressive introduction for Munoobi, who showed his attacking ability alongside his defensive responsibilities.
His move to Lugazi now presents another opportunity for the defender to establish himself and make a significant contribution over the next two seasons.
Lugazi FC will be hoping that Munoobi’s experience, versatility and attacking instincts from the right flank can help strengthen the team as they prepare for another competitive UPL campaign.
