Ugandan forward Hadijah Nandago has completed her move to Kenyan champions Kenya Police Bullets, marking a return to competitive football after spending time away from the game.
The former Kawempe Muslim forward has been a free agent since leaving Indian Women’s League side Sethu FC, whom she joined in January 2025. Nandago made her debut for the Indian club against East Bengal shortly after her arrival.
Nandago now joins Kenya Police Bullets as the club prepares for the upcoming CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers. The move was officially confirmed on August 22, with the Ugandan already unveiled by the Kenyan champions.
The talented attacker brings valuable continental experience to the Bullets. During the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA qualifiers with Kawempe Muslim, Nandago was among the team’s standout attacking players and scored four goals in the tournament, including a hat-trick against FAD Djibouti. She also scored Kawempe’s equaliser against Commercial Bank of Ethiopia in the semifinal.
Her arrival further strengthens the Ugandan connection at Kenya Police Bullets. Nandago becomes the fourth Ugandan in the club’s squad, joining fellow compatriots Daisy Nakaziro, Margret Kunihira and Desire Katisi Natooro.
For Nandago, the move represents an opportunity to restart her career at a club competing at the highest level in the region. Her experience in Uganda, India and continental competition could prove valuable as Kenya Police Bullets target success both domestically and in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The move also continues the growing movement of Ugandan women footballers across East Africa, with Nandago now set to showcase her qualities on the Kenyan stage.
