Uganda midfielder Joseph Seremba has completed a move from NEC FC to Kenyan Premier League side Nairobi United, according to reports by journalist Kevin Teya.
The transfer marks another significant move for the NEC FC midfielder, who will now continue his career across the border in Kenya as he joins a Nairobi United side strengthening its squad ahead of the new campaign.
Seremba becomes the fourth player to move directly from NEC FC to Nairobi United, highlighting the growing relationship between the two clubs and the Kenyan side's apparent confidence in talent developed or featured at NEC FC.
He follows three fellow NEC FC players who have already made the same switch: Mustafa Kizza, Charles Waibi and Titus Ssematimba.
Uganda Cranes left-back Mustafa Kizza is among the most notable names in the group, having previously established himself at the top level of Ugandan football before making the move to Nairobi United. Charles Waibi and Titus Ssematimba have also joined the Kenyan outfit as part of its recruitment drive from Uganda.
Seremba's arrival adds another Ugandan option to Nairobi United's squad and gives the midfielder an opportunity to test himself in the Kenyan Premier League. His move also continues the increasing movement of Ugandan players into neighbouring East African leagues, where Ugandan talent has continued to attract interest.
For NEC FC, the departure of Seremba represents another player moving on to a foreign league, while Nairobi United will hope the midfielder can quickly adapt and make an impact in their midfield.
With Seremba, Kizza, Waibi and Ssematimba now all making the NEC FC-to-Nairobi United journey, the Kenyan club has developed a strong Ugandan connection as it looks to build a competitive squad for the upcoming season.
