Kyaddondo FC picked up three massive points on the road after defeating Buddu FC 1–0 in a tightly contested Masaza Cup encounter at the Kitovu Sports Arena.
The decisive moment came in the 41st minute, when Enock Ssekatawa found the back of the net to give Kyaddondo the lead. His goal ultimately proved enough to settle a closely fought contest.
Buddu, who had enjoyed an impressive run of results heading into the match, pushed for an equaliser after the break, but Kyaddondo's defence held firm to protect their narrow advantage until the final whistle.
The victory is particularly significant for Kyaddondo in the Bulange Group, where every point is crucial in the race for qualification. Before the match, Buddu were top of the group with 17 points, while Kyaddondo had 13 points. The victory therefore closes the gap considerably and strengthens Kyaddondo's position in the fight for progression.
For Ssekatawa, the goal adds another important contribution to his Masaza Cup campaign. The Kyaddondo forward has previously demonstrated his goalscoring ability in the competition, including a brace against Buvuma in 2025.
The result also gives Kyaddondo valuable momentum at a crucial stage of the group campaign. After a series of closely contested matches, including draws against Buvuma, the side has now shown its ability to take maximum points from one of the group's strongest opponents.
