Maroons FC head coach Umar Abdullah Loi has confirmed the departure of Ivan Mayanja, Apollo Kagogwe and Kiwanuka, marking a fresh chapter for the club as it continues to shape its squad ahead of the new campaign.
The three players will no longer be part of the Maroons setup, with their exits creating room for the technical team to assess alternative options and introduce new faces into the squad.
Speaking about the situation, Coach Umar Abdallah explained that the changes present an important opportunity to evaluate emerging players and strengthen the team's depth.
“We are going to use this opportunity to test out new players and see how they adapt into the team. It's also a chance to see what our opponents have in store.”
