Marvin Praise Wambuga Unveiled by URA FC

URA FC have officially unveiled defender Marvin Praise Wambuga as one of their latest additions ahead of the new season, completing his move from fellow Uganda Premier League side Express FC, as earlier reported.

The versatile defender joins the Tax Collectors looking to add depth, strength and competition to their defensive department as URA FC continue to build a squad capable of competing strongly across domestic competitions.

Wambuga’s move to URA comes after a short but notable spell at Express FC. The defender joined the Red Eagles from Calvary FC during the mid-season transfer window earlier this year, making the switch as Express strengthened their squad for the second half of the campaign.

Despite arriving midway through the season, Wambuga gained valuable experience at one of Uganda’s most established clubs and now begins a new chapter with URA FC.

Before his move to Express, Wambuga had already built a reputation through spells with several clubs and teams in Ugandan football. He previously featured for Kira United, Uganda Christian University (UCU) and Kyadondo Saaza, experiences that helped shape his development and exposed him to different levels of competition.

His journey through the ranks reflects a steady progression in Ugandan football, from the regional and university game to the professional environment of the Uganda Premier League.

At URA FC, Wambuga will face increased competition for places in a squad that continues to take shape ahead of the upcoming campaign. His arrival is expected to provide the coaching staff with another defensive option while also giving the player an opportunity to establish himself at a club with ambitions of challenging near the top end of Ugandan football.

For Wambuga, the transfer represents another important step in his career. Having already experienced football at Calvary FC and Express FC, the defender will now be hoping to make a lasting impression at URA and translate his potential into consistent performances at the highest level.

The Tax Collectors will be keen to see their new signing settle quickly and contribute to their defensive stability, particularly as the demands of the new season increase.

With the move now officially confirmed, Marvin Praise Wambuga becomes a URA FC player, bringing with him experience from Kira United, UCU, Kyadondo Saaza, Calvary FC and Express FC as he looks forward to the next phase of his career.
