Ugandan football has been plunged into mourning following the death of former BUL FC, Bright Stars FC and Busoga United goalkeeper Sanoni Mulaabi, popularly known as “90.”
Mulaabi passed away after battling cancer, bringing to an end a difficult period in which the former goalkeeper had been receiving treatment at the Mulago Cancer Institute. Reports about his illness had previously circulated within Uganda’s football community, with friends and football figures appealing for support as he fought the disease.
